To Add an Activity Class to an AssetWise Datasource

Follow these steps to add an activity class to the AssetWise datasource.
  1. In AssetWise Director, log in to the community.
  2. From the View menu, select System Administration.
    Tip: You can also press F8.
  3. Expand the Classes & Attributes tree.
  4. Select the Tasks class node in the tree, and then select the Activities class.
  5. Select the task that will become the parent class of the new class.
  6. In the Child classes topic, click New.
  7. Enter a class Code.
    Tip: Select theALL_CAPS_WITH_UNDERSCORE style.
  8. Enter a Name for the class.
    Tip: Select the First Letter Capitalized And Spaces Between Words style.
  9. In the Type box, select Instruction, and then click the Save icon in the Toolbar. The Activity class is saved.
  10. Browse to select the newly created class in the tree.
    Tip: Press F8 to refresh the screen, if needed.
  11. In the Templates topic, click New.
  12. Enter a Name for the template.
  13. Enter a Description for the template.
  14. In the Template Mask, enter ASS-$(YY)-#####, and then click the Save button in the tool bar. The template class is saved.
  15. In the Template State, select Approved.
  16. Click the Save button in the Tool bar. The template is saved.
You may now add additional Attributes to the Activities class, if required.
